Colorado Ice Prepare For Preseason Camp

The Colorado Ice are starting their preseason training camp on Monday, February 11th. The team will be holding their camp at the Qdoba Events Center, located at 218 Smokey St, Fort Collins, CO. The final roster for the Ice will be released following the conclusion of camp.

The head coach and defensive coordinator of the Ice, Heron O’Neal, will be entering his third season with the team. Prior to joining the Ice, O’Neal was the head coach of the Billings Outlaws, where he won 3 titles in 5 seasons. O’Neal is joined on the sidelines by offensive coordinator Dillon Sanders and assistant defensive coordinator Brian Arndt, both of whom have been with the team since 2009, and Rico Ochoa, a lineman coach in his first year with the Ice.

One player in Ice camp that might look familiar to IFL fans is Quarterback Willie Copeland. Copeland played his college football at Valdosta State in Georgia before signing as an undrafted free-agent with the Miami Dolphins. Since then, Copeland has played for both the Green Bay Blizzard and the Cedar Rapid Titans of the IFL. Copeland is expected to be the starting quarterback for the Ice this season.
