| PROFILE: JJ was a true freshman and played all four years at the University of Colorado. As a freshman, he was named First Team Freshman All-American, First Team Freshman All-Big 12, and receipient of CU's Lee Willard Award (most outstanding freshman). As a sophmore, JJ earned Honorable Mention All-Big 12 and was Defensive Back of the Week three times. His junior year, he earned Preseason All-American honors, but redshirted after a knee injury. The following year he earned Honorable Mention All-Big 12 honors and was ranked 25th in the nation at defensive back. His senior year, he was a Preseason All-Big 12 award winner, ranked 9th in the nation at safety, and Preseason All-American. JJ played in several NCAA Bowl games, including the Alamo Bowl and the Champs Sports Bowl. He graduated with a degree in Sociology. JJ was born in Denver, Colorado. |
