Hill Dubbed as UIF Player of the Week

Colorado Ice (3-5) WR George Hill earned the league
player of the week nod for his efforts on special teams during last week's 39-37 win over the Billings Outlaws at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colo. Hill returned four kicks for the Ice for 79 yards. His return near the end of the fourth quarter went 41 yards for a score that sealed Colorado's victory. In addition to his performance on special teams, Hill pulled in three passes from QB Ryan Clement for 35 yards and two scores.
Hill currently sits fifth in the league with 778 all purpose yards, ninth in
kick return average with 17.4 yards a return and tenth with 42.1 receiving yards a game. He leads the team with 25 kickoff returns for a total of 434 yards and the solo score. His 337 yards and seven touchdowns on 23 catches this season ranks him second on the team.
A Colorado State alum, Hill played four years for the Rams and was named to the preseason All-MWC second team in 2006. Hill was named as the leagues most outstanding receiver and conference's top defensive back as a senior at Corona High School in Corona, Calif. Additionally, he earned team MVP and all-conference honors twice.
Colorado will continue their three game home stand when they host Wichita this Saturday, May 10, for the Mother's Day game. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. MT with a pregame tailgate starting at 5 p.m. RiverCity will visit the Budweiser Events Center the following Saturday, May 17, to wrap up the home series.
