Colorado Ice Looking for New Talent for 2009 Season

 

 

Fort Collins, Colo. – The Colorado Ice have announced they will be conducting open player tryouts for the 2009 season on Sunday, October 26th from 10am to 1pm at Fort Collins Indoor Soccer at OD’s Sports Crossing in Fort Collins.  Players will have the opportunity to showcase their athletic skills for the Ice coaching staff to secure a place on the roster for the 2009 season.  All players interested are welcome to tryout.

Past open tryouts have produced some of the Ice’s top talents.  Travis Garcia (DB) CSU, and Ryan Palmer (LB) UNC, were both found in open tryouts and both were named two-time All-League Players for the Colorado Ice.  Justin Gallas (WR) CS Mines, George Hill (WR) CSU, and Garrett Mehl (QB) CS Mines, were also discovered in past open tryouts.

Head Coach Collins Sanders looks forward to evaluating the new batch of talent and hopes to, “find that new ‘diamond in the rough’ player that may otherwise have been missed.”  All interested players are encouraged to go to the Colorado Ice website at www.thecoloradoice.com for additional information.

The Colorado Ice are entering their third season and are members of the newly merged Indoor Football League (IFL). All home games are played at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colorado.
