Heron O’Neal

Position(s): Head Coach & Offensive Coordinator, Director of Football Operations Years w/ Team: 2

Coach O’Neal took over as Head Coach for the Colorado Ice in the Summer of 2011, after having a great season as the Defensive Coordinator for the Ice. Coach O has been in the Indoor Football game since the early 2000′s, as a player, and started his coaching career in 2005. A native of Chicago he played at Mt. Carmel and received a full ride scholarship to Western Michigan University, where he Red-Shirted in 1993 and was a 4 year starter. In 1998 Coach O went to the NFL Combine and signed as a free agent with the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad. Then signed as a free agent in 1998 with the Chicago Bears. Brian Arndt bio

Brian Arndt

Position(s): Defensive Coordinator, Defensive Backs Coach Years w/ Team: 4

Coach Arndt has been with the Ice since the 2009 season when he came on as a defensive backs coach. He was the Defensive Coordinator  for 2010 and then in 2011 was the Assistant Defensive Coordinator and defensive backs coach. In 2012, Coach Arndt will be the Defensive Coordinator for the Ice. When he isn’t helping with the Ice, Coach Arndt works for the St. Vrain School District and is the Defensive Coordinator at Longmont High School. Coach Arndt started coaching at Longmont 10 years ago, starting as the defensive backs coach and has been the Defensive Coordinator for the past 5 years.

Dillon Sanders bio

Dillon Sanders

Position(s): Assistant Offensive Coordinator, Recruiting Coordinator Years w/ Team: 4

Coach Sanders has been with the Ice since 2009, starting out as a coaching intern and working his way to Offensive Coordinator in 2011. He is actively recruiting for the 2012 season and will be the Assistant Offensive Coordinator for the 2012 season. Coach Sanders played Quarterback throughout high school at Centaurus High School and into college at Colorado Mines and Black Hills State. In 2009, he transferred to the University of Northern Colorado and started his coaching career while finishing his finance degree. Sanders spent two years as an undergraduate assistant at UNC while also working with the Ice.

George Martinez bio

George Martinez

Position(s): Wide Receivers Coach, Years w/ Team: 3

Coach Martinez has been with the Ice since the 2010 Season. He has been coaching at various levels since graduating from the University of Southern Colorado (CSU-Pueblo) with a degree in Physical Education. Coach Martinez is also a valued part of the Ice front office, coordinating with partners and outside agencies. He is an avid runner in his off time and officiates at various sporting events throughout the state of Colorado.

Josh Graham bio

Josh Graham

Position(s): Offensive Line Coach, Years w/ Team: 2

Coach Graham will be returning as the Offensive Line Coach in 2012. Coach Graham grew up in Denver and played at Thomas Jefferson High School with his twin brother, Daniel Graham – NFL Tennessee Titans, and then went on to play at the University of North Carolina. As a Defensive Tackle throughout his career Coach Graham learned how offensive linemen played and uses that when working with his recruits. As the 2012 rookies will soon find out, Coach Graham takes conditioning and technique seriously. Marcus Pearson

Position(s): Defensive Line Coach, Recruiter Years w/ Team: 1

Coach Pearson signed on with the Ice at the end of the 2011 Season. Having been a coach and recruiter for Coach O’Neal at Billings during their Championship seasons he is working hard recruiting for the Ice 2012 Season. He is currently in North Carolina enjoying time with his daughters and will be out to Colorado for the start of camp in February.

Marcus James

Position(s): Regional Scout, Years w/ Team: 1

Coach James has been an active Scout since the 2010 Season for the Colorado Ice and has held various coaching, consulting and scouting positions in the IFL, SIFL, UIFL and AFL. Coach James is based out of Georgia and can be reached through the email above.

John Loyo

Position(s): Conditioning Coach, Years w/ Team: 1

John Loyo is the President and Founder of Fitness-4-U. He spent several years training groups and individuals in some of the top fitness clubs around Baltimore. Discouraged by the big gym focus on profit, John began training with celebrity fitness trainer Monte Sanders (personal trainer to Ed Reed and Ray Lewis) where he learned that there is a better way to help people reach their fitness goals. Fast-forward 5 years: In 2009, John was one of a team of professional trainers asked to participate in the historic inauguration of President Barack Obama. John was on stage to help the crowd get fit and get warm as they led a series of exercises before the ceremony. Phil Muleski bio

Philip Muleski

Position(s): Equipment Manager, Years w/ Team: 5

Phil has been with the Ice since 2008, when he helped out as the assistant equipment manager. He took over as Equipment Manager in the 2009 Season and has continued to support the team for all home and away games. He has been in Northern Colorado for many years and is a graduate of Poudre High School.
